OpenWeb is very proud to introduce a brand new feature to our Home portal.  Our new Port Reset feature allows you to reset your own port.

What exactly does a port reset do?

Basically, a port reset is a three step process.

1.  It resets the Telkom DSLAM port

2. It resets the core of the account on our network
3. It refreshes the broadband profile across the ADSL / Fibre network nationally

Ultimately, a port reset will refresh your experience and more than likely resolve any speed issues you may have.

Why does my speed become slow?

There are so many factors that can cause this and 99% of the time it has nothing to do with the OpenWeb Broadband account you purchase from us.  Many issues are caused by the ageing Telkom infrastructure.  Our great new Port Reset feature is the answer to resolving this problem.

How do I access this feature?

Kindly visit:  http://home.openweb.co.za

Login to your account.

Navigate to your Active Services.

You will notice the Port reset feature button next to the broadband product in question.  Hit the button and watch the magic.

Please do not forget to follow up your port reset with a router switch off.  Switch off your router for 30 minutes then back on to complete the process.
